Multi state cooperative societies Act, 1984

A multi state cooperative society having such number or class of employees as may be prescribed may establish a contributory provident fund for the benefit of such employees to which shall be credited all contributions made by the employees and the society in accordance with the bye laws of the society. Monies standing to the credit of any contributory provident fund established by a cooperative society under sub-section.

Taxation of multi state Cooperative Society

A multi state cooperative society means, a society registered or deemed to be registered under any law relating to cooperative societies for the time being in force in any State or under the Central act. cooperative society may be governed by the respective multi state cooperative societies Act or by the inquiry by Central Registrar in credit cooperative society Act, 2002.

Liability of Multi state cooperative society

(1) No multi state cooperative society with unlimited liability shall be registered after the commencement of cooperative Society Act: Provided that where a credit cooperative society with unlimited liability was functioning before the commencement of this Act, such a society shall exercise the option within a period of one year from such commencement either to continue to function as such or to convert itself into a multi State cooperative society with limited liability by

Repeal and savings in cooperative society

Repeal and savings in cooperative society :- (1) The cooperative society registration are hereby repealed. (2) Not with standing such repeal, anything done or any action taken under and the rules so repealed shall, unless such thing or action is inconsistent with the provisions of these rules, be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of these rules.

Multi state cooperative society meetings of board

(1) The Chief Executive cooperative society shall convene the meetings of the board at the stance of the Chairperson or President. (2) The total number of meetings of the Board in a year and the venue meetings as may be specified in the bye-laws: Provided that the Board shall meet at least once in every quarter: Provided further that not more than two persons may be invited by the Board in its meetings.

Powers and functions of board

Board may exercise all multi state cooperative society such powers as may be necessary or for the purpose of carrying out its functions under this Act.

Disposal of Surplus Assets

The surplus assets, as shown in the report of liquidator for multi state cooperative society which is wound up (a) may, if the bye-laws of the cooperative society • the purpose for which surplus shall be utilized be utilized Central Registrar for the said purpose, and (b) if the bye-laws aforesaid do not specify the purpose, be div by the Central Registrar with the previous sanction of the Government, amongst the members of such multi state societ

Liability of credit cooperative society

(1) No credit cooperative society with unlimited liability shall be registered after the commencement of Cooperative Society Act.

Definitions of credit cooperative society

The words/expressions appearing in these bye-laws shall have the following meaning unless otherwise provided: (a) “Act” means the credit cooperative societies act, 2002 as amended from time to time. (b) Rules mean the Cooperative Societies Rules, 2002 made under this Act, and amended from time to time. (c) MSCS Act means the Multi State society Act, 2002 as amended from time to time.
