(1)Provided that where the bye-laws for registration in credit cooperative society provide for the constitution of a smaller body consisting delegates of members of the society elected or selected in according with such bye-laws, that smaller body shall exercise such power, the general body as may be prescribed or as may be specified in bye-laws of the society. (2) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the rules and the bye-laws ultimate authority of a multi state society shall vest in general body of its members Provided that nothing contained in this sub-section shall affect exercise by the board or any officer of a multi state cooperative society registration of any power conferred on such board or such officer by Act or the rules or the bye-laws. (3) Where in any meeting of the general body or the board of a cooperative society, a cooperative society or another multi state cooperative society is to be represented, such cooperative society or other Multi State cooperative Society shall be represented in such meeting only through Chairman or the Chief Executive of such cooperative society or other cooperative society, as the case may be, and where there is no boar. such cooperative society or other multi state cooperative society whatever reasons, through the administrator, by whatever name called such co-operative society or other Where in any meeting of the general body or the board of a multi state society a cooperative society or another multi state cooperative society is to be represented, such cooperative society or other multi state cooperative society shall be represented in such meeting only through the Chairman or the Chief Executive of such cooperative society or other multi state cooperative society as the case may be, and where there is no board or such cooperative society or other multi state cooperative society for whatever reasons through the administrator, by whatever name called, of such cooperative society or other multi state cooperative societies. The term of all office bearers would be for a period of three years Office bearers may seek re-election for a second term after which they will not be entitled for holding the same office. The casual vacancies, however, may be filled up by the Executive Committee. Any member elected by the Committee to fill a casual vacancy shall hold office till that (regular) member takes his/her chair.
