Credit cooperative society means a cooperative society having business of thrift and credit which means collection of deposits in form of fixed deposits and recurring deposits and loan disbursement, registered or deemed to be registered under any law relating to co-operative societies for the time being in force in any State or Union territory. An elected member of a board, who has acted adversely to the interests of Multi State Cooperative Society, may on the basis of a report of the Central Registrar or otherwise be removed from the board upon a resolution of the general body passed at its meeting by a majority of not less than two-third of the members present and voting at the meeting Provided that the member concerned shall not be removed unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of making a representation in the matter. An elected member of a board who has acted adversely to the interests Multi-State Co-operative Society may, on the basis of a report from the Cell Registrar or otherwise, be removed from the board upon a resolution earl body passed at its meeting by a majority of not less than two-thirds of members present and voting at the meeting. Provided that the member concerned shall not be removed unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of making representation in the matter, If in spite of cessation of office under circumstances mentioned in Sections 36 and 37 or Section 39 a member of the board refuses to vacate his office, Central Registrar shall, by order in writing, remove him from such office. All candidates shall be prohibited from indulging or abetting, all activities which cooperative society are considered to be corrupt practices and offences, such as bribing of voters, intimidation of voters, impersonation of voters canvassing or the use of propaganda within 100 meters of polling stations, holding public meetings during the period of 24 hours ending with the hour fixed for the close of the poll, and the transport and conveyance of voters to and from polling station. A vote will be invalid for the reasons stated in Appendix 1A. Before balloting the credit cooperative society, election council may decide, upon additional reasons for which the vote will be invalid, consistent with the guidelines in Appendix 1B. All such reasons already decided upon shall get passed as instruction to the voters at polling stations. If any further defect is noticed, the vote shall be valid if the intention of the voter is clear to the Election Council. For the purpose of declaration of the result, the decision of the Chief Election Officer on the validity or invalidity of the vote shall be final. Also, if the number of candidates nominated for ordinary member positions plus the number of elected executive positions is less than the required number of members for the committee, the person chairing the meeting must invite nominations at the meeting for ordinary positions to bring the total number of all committee members to not more than required.
