Definitions in Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002

Definitions of Multi state cooperative society act, 2002, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "area of operation" means the area from which the persons are admitted as members.

Registered under Cooperative Societies

No multi state cooperative society shall be registered under cooperative societies this Act, unless,(a) its main objects are to serve the interests of members in more than one State; and(b) its bye-laws provide for social and economic betterment of its members through self-help and mutual aid in accordance with the co-operative principles.

Refusal to Register a Multi State Cooperative Society

No multi state cooperative society shall be registered under cooperative societies this Act, unless,(a) its main objects are to serve the interests of members in more than one State; and(b) its bye-laws provide for social and economic betterment of its members through self-help and mutual aid in accordance with the co-operative principles.

Multi State Cooperative Society Registration Certificate

Where a multi state cooperative society is registered under The Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, the Central Registrar shall issue a certificate of registration signed by him, which shall be conclusive evidence that the society therein mentioned is duly registered under multi state cooperative societies Act, 2002, unless it is proved that the registration of the society has been cancelled.Provisions of Section 8 of the 2002 Act are word to word same an identical to Section 8 of the 1984 Act.Whenever the Central Registrar is satisfied and registers any

Multi State Cooperative Society to be body corporate

Corporate body to be multi state cooperative society by registration of a multi state cooperative society it shall become a body corporate by the name under which it is registered. It shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall have power to acquire, hold and dispose of movable and immovable property, enter into contracts, institute and defend suits and other legal proceedings. It shall by the said name sue or be sued.

Application to register Amendment of bye-laws of a Multi State Cooperative Society

In every case in which a proposes to amend its refusal of Amendment of Bye-Laws in multi state cooperative society shall be made to the Central Registrar together with (a) a copy of the resolution referred to in sub-section (2);
(b) a statement containing the particulars indicating-
(i) the date of the general meeting at which the amendments to the bye- laws were made;

Approval of Application to register amendment of bye-laws of MSCS

Approval of Application to register amendment of bye-laws of MSCS on receipt of application under sub-section (5), the Central Registrar is satisfied that the proposed amendment- (a) is not contrary to the provisions of The multi state cooperative societies Act, 2002, or of the rules; (b) does not conflict with co-operative principles; and (c) will promote the economic interest of the members of the multi state cooperative society, he may register the amendment within a period of three months from the date of receipt thereof by him.

When amendment of bye-laws of Multi State Cooperative Society

An amendment of the bye-laws of a multi state society shall, unless it is expressed to come into operation on a particular day, come into force on the day on which it is registered. We deal in all types of multi state cooperative society registration whether it is credit cooperative society or housing cooperative society or dairy cooperative society or any other multi state cooperative society.

Multi state cooperative societies Act, 1984

A multi state cooperative society having such number or class of employees as may be prescribed may establish a contributory provident fund for the benefit of such employees to which shall be credited all contributions made by the employees and the society in accordance with the bye laws of the society. Monies standing to the credit of any contributory provident fund established by a cooperative society under sub-section.

Taxation of multi state Cooperative Society

A multi state cooperative society means, a society registered or deemed to be registered under any law relating to cooperative societies for the time being in force in any State or under the Central act. cooperative society may be governed by the respective multi state cooperative societies Act or by the inquiry by Central Registrar in credit cooperative society Act, 2002.
