The credit cooperative society is used by the member borrower for the betterment of his/ her personal and/ or professional life. This is used for self employment projects that generate income, allowing them to care for themselves and their families.

No member of a Multi state cooperative society shall exercise the rights of a member, unless he has made the payment to the society in respect of membership, or has acquired such interest in the society, as may be specified in the bye-laws. A member of a Co-Operative society has certain rights and privileges which he enforce. Rights, privileges, obligations etc. acquired or accrued by a member Bombay Co-operative Societies Act, 1925 prior to enforcement of Delhi Act, 1972 shall still enforceable." A member who has not made payment of membership fee or subscription or share money has been disqualified from exercising the rights of a to exercise his rights, therefore, member has to regularly make payment to the soc respect of membership or has to acquire such interest in the society as may be specie the bye-laws. A member in multi state society is disqualified if he is in arrears for more than three month When that value of shares is increased and unless the existing members are served notice to pay this balance they cannot be treated as defaulters and their voting rights are affected. the Registrar does not become focus office i.e. no longer having power act. It does not mean that delay on the part of the registrar is approved. It woo therefore desirable and should be as a rule of invariable application that the Registration should deal with the matter within the stipulated period of six months. Appeal lies only to the Lt. Governor within 60 days of the decision or rod expulsion under Sec. 76(2)(k). When Appeal is not filed within time period of 60 day expulsion of a member becomes final and the person has no locus stand to continue the remedy of Appeal every member of a the credit cooperative has one vote. A nominal state member does not have a right to vote. Where the Central Government is the f the co-operative society each person nominated by the Central Government has one vote. However, in case in a meeting equal votes have been cast the second or casting vote. Where joint members have been admitted by the over society the person whose name stands first in the share certificate shall have vote. No member is permitted to vote by proxy. A guardian of a minor or a unsound mind is not proxy and he can vote for minor (or insane) shareholder.
