(1) The federal cooperative societies may be classified with rate to the nature of their activities in multi state cooperative society. Not more than one federal cooperative shall be registered in similar and identical objects in same area of opera (2) the federal cooperatives for the sake of promotion of constituent members will make suitable provisions in their bye-laws etc. by competiting with the member societies by a new insertion in objects of multi state cooperative societies act, 2002. A new inserted which provides that a multi state society with a membership exceeding one thousand may provide in its bye-laws for the constitution of a smaller body, which shall exercise all such powers of the general body as may be specified in the bye-laws. Earlier there was no such provision. Besides the above insertion and changes, there is no other material change. The Chief Executive of multi state cooperative society is a full time employee appointed by the board of directors of the society.
