1. Short title and commencement preliminary of multi state cooperative society . (l) These rules may be called The multi state cooperative societies (Registration, Membership, Direction and mint Settlement of Disputes, Appeal and Revision) Rules, 1985. (2) These rules shall com into force from the Sixteenth day of Sep 1985. I, 2. Definitions. In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires: (i) Act means the Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 19(1984). (ii) " Form" means a form appended to these rules, (iii) " general meeting" means a meeting of the general body representative general body referred. (iv)" Section" means a section of the Act. (v) " Schedule" means Schedule appended to these rules. (vi) Words and expressions defined in the Act and used but  these rules shall have the meanings respectively assignee. Where the members of a multi state cooperative society to be registered are cooperative Societies or multi-state cooperative societies and individuals, such application shall be signed by individuals and authorized representative of such cooperative society or multi-state cooperative society. The application shall be accompanied by four copies of the proposed bye-laws of the multi State co-operative society and the persons by whom or on whose behalf such application is made shall furnish such information in regard to the society as the Central Registrar may require. Where a multi state co-operative society is registered under this Act, the Central Registrar shall issue a certificate of registration signed by him, which shall be conclusive evidence that the society therein mentioned is duly registered under this Act, unless it is proved that the registration of the society has been cancelled. The registration of a multi State society shall render it a body corporate by the name under which it is registered having perpetual succession and a common seal, and with power to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, enter into contract, institute and defend suits and other legal proceedings and to do all things necessary for the purpose for which it is constituted, and shall, by the said name, sue o be sued. Every such application shall be made within sixty days from the date of the general meeting at which such refusal of amendment of Bye-Laws was passed in multi state cooperative society.
