Corporate body to be multi state cooperative society by registration of a multi state cooperative society it shall become a body corporate by the name under which it is registered. It shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall have power to acquire, hold and dispose of movable and immovable property, enter into contracts, institute and defend suits and other legal proceedings. It shall by the said name sue or be sued. We deal in all types of multi state cooperative society registration whether it is credit cooperative society or housing cooperative society or dairy cooperative society or any other multi state cooperative society. Under Section 7 the Central Registrar has the power to register a society under this Act where he is satisfied that the application complies with the provisions of this Act and the rules, and the proposed multi state society satisfies the basic criteria. The multi state cooperative societies Rules, 2002 provides for registration of cooperative society bye laws. According to it, if the Central Registrar is satisfied that the proposed multi state co-operative society has complied with the requirements of the Act and the rules, he may register the society and its bye-laws. After registering a multi state co-operative society, the Registrar shall issue to the said society a certificate of registration signed by him and bearing his official seal containing registration number and date of registration of the said society. Along with certificate of registration, a certified copy of the bye-laws should also be issued. If the central registrar refuses to register a multi state cooperative society, he shall communicate, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the application for registration, the order of refusal together with the reasons for refusal to register the applicant or applicants, as the case may be.
