A multi state cooperative society may invest or deposit its funds (a) In a cooperative bank, state cooperative bank, cooperative land development bank or central cooperative bank or (b) in any of the securities specified in the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 (c) in the shares or securities of any other multi state society or any cooperative society(c) in the shares, securities or assets of a subsidiary institution or any other institution; or (d) with any other bank; or (f) in such other mode as may be provided in the bye-laws. plantation-for the purposes of clause (e), "bank" means any banking company as defined in clause (c) of  the banking regulation 1949 (10 of 1949), and includes- (i) the State Bank of India constituted under the State Bank of India Act,  (ii) a subsidiary bank as defined in clause (k) of Section 2 of the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959 (38 of 1959); (iii) a corresponding new bank constituted under Section 3 of Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertaking¬Act, 1970  or a corresponding new bank constitute under Section 3 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition a, Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980 Following change and insertion have been brought in the 2002 Act: (1) In clause (a) of  the multi state cooperative society Act, 1984 cooperative mortgage bank" was also mentioned, but in clause (a) of the 2002 Act it has been deleted. (2) In clause (d) the 2002 Act " subsidiary institutes has been also added and in the same clause the " with the predict. approval of Central Registrar" which was required in the 1 (c) Act, has been deleted, A multi state society may invest the amount of its fund deposit with the cooperative bank, state cooperative bank, cooperative development bank, central cooperative bank or with any other bank It (D) invest in any of the securities specified inns; the Indian Trusts (A) 1882. It may also invest in the shares or securities of any other credit cooperative societies in Delhi or any cooperative society or in shares, securities or assets a subsidiary institution or any other institution. Besides these a multi state cooperative society may invest or deposit its funds in such other mode as may provided in the bye-laws.
